My talk: “Travelling: a Human Right”

My talk started like this:
“Hello, my name is Alejandra, I am 34 years old and I come here because I have a problem: I am an addict. I was diagnosed with dromomania: addiction to travel.
This has happened to me since I was a child: I moved houses more than 7 times, I went to more than 14 schools and changed jobs many times too.
The truth is that for me everything is travel, I relate everything to travel, it is an obsession: every search is like travelling, being here for me was like travelling, life is travelling… So I decreed that I have no cure and, in fact, I do not want to find it because I feel travelling makes us more human”.
I think that what we all look for when travelling is peace, our own meaning of happiness, and it is an excuse to find ourselves.
I’ve come to establish a new religion: that of the travellers. Its main motto is “Travelling will set you free”. And the intention is to be more and more people: a legion of travellers who take the passion for travel to every corner of the world and generate even more followers of the movement to keep it going, as disciples. Because a world with people who travel is a happier world.

I hope you like my talk!
